No one disputes that cell phones are a distraction. So let the states pass the laws in accordance with the 9th and 10th Amendments.
Vicad left one very important element, why add one more distraction in that 4000lb weapon. There is far to many distractions on the roadways now days, so why impead safety? Cell phones, you dang right, remove the distraction... Your safety insures my safety...
I agree with TopHat - my safety and everyone elses safety on the highway seems to out weigh the unrestricted use of cell phones.
I am also amazed that the pioneers were able to move across this great country - settle this land - and make a way for us - without cell phones. They must have been better and hardier souls than us.
There is life out there without cell phones!
People claim their rights are being voided, that is not true- The person that you injure or kill is the one that lost rights.
Your almighty important device rings, your kids are rampaging, you're tired of that CD, or need a chomp of your hamburger might all be true.Frankly I don't give a damn. The public roadways are ours, not yours. My rights to a safe life trumps your rights.
