Editor, the Advocate:
Though you may like the political ideas of Newt Gingrich, bear in mind that Gingrich is a man of low moral character. To wit: He told his first wife he wanted a divorce when she was in the hospital! And he has been married three times! He was having an affair with his third wife while he was still married to his second wife. That is certainly not a man of character or substance. It is definitely not presidential. Away with him and those like him.

Of course we will never forget the Clinton presidency because some are not ready to move on to this decade.
The difference is this sandwichh--Noot Gingrich IS running for President; Bill Clinton is not. Noot Gingrich is running on the republican party ticket--the party of family values. The folks who were worried about undermining marriage. The guy is on his third wife no matter when he told any of them he wanted a divorce. Bill Clinton is still married. That doesn't make him any better, but it doesn't matter--he's not running for President!
December 24, 2011 at 11:57 a.m.Yeah, let's don't talk about the character of the democrat Clinton presidency.
December 24, 2011 at 11:04 a.m.Judgement of Gingrich's character should be based on the opinions of the republican president and the republican congresspersons who worked under him in the 90"s.
December 23, 2011 at 7:37 a.m.Don't fall for all the untruths told in life. Gingrich is no saint but facts are facts. He did NOT tell his wife he wanted a divorce while she was in hospital.
