Kent Blackwood, 51, general manager and vice president of Blackwood Toyota, died Thursday at his home of a gunshot wound to the head.
Justice of the Peace Henry Welfel pronounced him dead at 5:11 a.m.
Blackwood's wife found him in his bedroom, the judge said. Welfel has not made a ruling in the death, but does not suspect foul play.

December 23, 2011 at 10:52 p.m.No one wants to find the love of their life Dead. My sympathy goes out to all the family.
Racquetball, the family will likely already know the details so there should be no surprises. But trying to keep rumors and innuendo from spreading is what printing the details will do.
December 23, 2011 at 12:08 p.m.I commend the Advocate for telling the news without sensationalizing this story.
They treated the "workers" of Victoria with respect. Something several other prominent families could learn from the Blackwoods.
December 23, 2011 at 11:12 a.m.My condolences to the family also. Especially to his mother, she such a sweet lady, always found time to sit down and talk to me whenever I'm at Toyota.

December 22, 2011 at 9:09 p.m.Our prayers go out to the Family. We did business with them many years ago and they are wonderful people and very professional.and courteous to their Customers. And I agree the Advocate could use more tact when printing a story for the sake of the Family during this difficult time.
