Two men were injured in a wreck on Zac Lentz Parkway and U.S. Business Highway 59 about 5 p.m. Saturday.

Douglas Williams, 82, of Victoria, was stopped on Zac Lentz Parkway in a Ford Ranger when he pulled out in front of a Dodge pickup heading south on the same highway. The Dodge was driven by Brandon Jeanis, 19, of Victoria.

Victoria police officer Sam Eyre said Jeanis struck Williams' vehicle on the driver's side, causing it to flip and roll down an embankment.

Williams was taken to Citizens Medical Center, and Jeanis was taken to a local hospital by a private vehicle. Both drivers suffered minor injuries. On Sunday, Williams was in stable condition at Citizens. Williams was found at fault in the wreck, Eyre said.

Another crash on U.S. Highway Business 59 occurred about 5:15 p.m. Saturday, resulting in two vehicles being towed from the scene.

Department of Public Safety Trooper Louis Verdeja said Bridgette Marie Garcia, 27, was driving a 2010 Nissan Altima north on U.S. Highway Business 59, when she disregarded a red light and struck 77-year-old Joe Vasquez's 2003 Chevrolet pickup. Vasquez was on Farm-to-Market 236 when Garcia's car struck Vasquez's vehicle on the left front side, Verdeja said. Neither driver was injured. Garcia was cited for disregarding a red light.
