A Department of Public Safety trooper found 89 pounds of marijuana hidden in a horse trailer Friday afternoon during a traffic stop.
Cenobio Quirov, 59, of Houston, was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana possession, said DPS Sgt. John Henke.
Trooper Wayne Cipriani obtained permission to search the truck and horse trailer during a traffic stop on U.S. Highway 59 at state Highway 185.
Cipriani found 89.2 pounds of marijuana in 35 bundles in the front wall of the horse trailer, Henke said.
Quirov was traveling from McAllen to Houston, he said.

It's a good thing alcohol has never been a problem and all those that drink stop before they start acting stupid or it would find itself on the list of drugs that lead to use of stronger drugs.
Naaah, that will never happen since everyone that drinks acts responsibly.
