By Elaine Wheat"And it came to pass in those days ... that all the world should be taxed."
- Luke 2:1
Christmas is over and I can tell you it was really taxing. We have a large extended family, and there were many comings and goings of Christmas. I hauled out the same food over and over, and I don't want to see any more dips and chips for a long, long time. Christmas is wonderful even if it is taxing.
At year's end I want to share with you, the readers, a short summary of my whole Oceans for Emotions.
My favorite sister, who is also my only sister, gave me a fishing T-shirt that says it all:
Advice from the Ocean
• Be shore of yourself
Come out of your shell• Take time to relax and coast
• Avoid pier pressure
• Sea life's beauty
• Don't get tied down
• Make waves
Dear Lord, Help us keep the "Christ" in Christmas and the spirit of giving throughout the year. When your earth gets too taxing, help us to see the sea. We all sometimes need a heavy dose of Vitamin Sea.
