Train strikes man in Bloomington

A man was hit by a train at the railroad tracks in Bloomington around 10 p.m. Friday.

The man, whose identity was not known late Friday, was taken to Citizens Medical Center for treatment, said Victoria County Sheriff's Office Sgt. Justin Marr.

He was struck by a BNSS train at the Union Pacific switching station along state Highway 185.

Additional details were not available Friday night.
