The concert band is the largest ensemble in the USAF Band of the West with more than 40 musicians.
Its repertoire consists of music dating from the Renaissance to the present day and ranges from serious symphonic band literature and Sousa marches to Broadway musicals and Top-40 hits, according to a news release.
The members of the group are highly skilled musicians educated in colleges and universities across the nation. Each member has volunteered to serve their country as Air Force professionals.
The concert band has also appeared in concerts with the San Antonio, San Angelo, and Dallas Symphony Orchestras and regularly performs before high-ranking military and civilian dignitaries.
The Band of the West travels thousands of miles every year and performs at numerous military and community relations events throughout Texas, Arizona, New Mexico, and Louisiana.
This event is sponsored by Victoria College, the Victoria Chamber of Commerce and the Victoria Advocate.
