THUMBS-UP

Thumbs-up to Janet Kent for an outstanding career of public librarianship!

James, Victoria

Thumbs-up to the beautiful, elegant Fine Arts Center that opened with an outstanding concert Tuesday night. It greatly enhanced our cultural standing.

Bernice, Victoria

THUMBS-DOWN

Thumbs-down to VISD for any crying about the state making funding cuts. Just cut out natatoriums, golf, swimming, wrestling, which serve very few students in relation to cost. These should not be school events but should be paid for by parents through the Country Club or private lessons. I am sure there are many more such places which have nothing to do with education where budgets can be cut.
