  • It was a barrage of Salvo soap tablets that got lobbed into the fountain one night about 1971 by Joseph and some other neighborhood kids.
    Picture of the fountain and Laurent street under bubbles made the front page of the Victoria Advocate.

    I think you have the wrong bank.
    The one you are talking about was the one further north in Town and Country shopping center.
    The old Commercial (?) Bank.

    I remember the havoc that Tide or whatever did - but missed seeing it.

  • Laurent St. was once closed because of a big box of Tide detergent dumped into the fountain in front of what was then the ABC bank building! Lots of bubbles.... all over the place!
