Ongoing construction projects in Victoria will affect traffic on several streets this week, according to news releases from the city of Victoria.
Beginning Wednesday, Victoria Station Drive will be closed to traffic at the intersection of Sam Houston Drive for paving.
The paving project at this intersection is planned to be completed in approximately three months, weather permitting.
Also Wednesday, Laurent Street will be reduced to two-lane, two-way traffic between Retama Street and Sam Houston Drive. As part of this project, Mockingbird Lane between Aster Lane and Sam Houston Drive will also be reduced to two-lane, two-way traffic for utility installation and street construction.
The reductions will remain in effect for about four months, weather permitting.
Drivers can expect delays in the work zones and should use alternate routes to get around the work zone if possible. All businesses, residents and parking lots in the construction zone will remain accessible via alternate routes.
