Prices at the pump increasing in area, Texas

Oil prices have shot past $100 a barrel on the New York Stock Exchange though prices at the gas pump have only inched up in Texas.
Across Victoria, gas prices are running about $3.09 per gallon for regular unleaded, about 10 cents higher than Houston and San Antonio, according to a random survey of gas prices.
In Houston, regular unleaded gasoline rose from $2.99 on Tuesday to $3.01 Wednesday. Regular unleaded prices increased seven cents over the past month, according to the Daily Fuel Gauge Report by AAA.
Prices have risen since last year when regular unleaded sold for $2.47, but are still lower than they were in July 2008 when regular unleaded rose to its highest recorded price of $3.96.
Regular unleaded rose to $3 in San Antonio, an increase of three cents.
