Theatre Victoria to present Elvis and Johnny Cash tribute concert

This weekend, the Leo J. Welder Center will be filled with Cash. Johnny Cash, that is. It also will be full of royalty. The king, to be specific. The king of rock 'n' roll, Elvis Presley, that is.
Theatre Victoria will present The King and Cash, a tribute to the two music legends, this Friday and Saturday. Performed by Bennie Wheels and his tribute band, the show seeks to honor the two greats with strong conviction, historical accuracy, heartfelt sincerity and musical honesty, according to a theater news release.
Wheels is one of the top tribute artists in the country and has entertained Elvis and Cash fans nationwide, according to the news release.
Both performances begin at 7:30 p.m. at the Leo J. Welder Center. Tickets are $35 and can be purchased by calling 361-570-8587 or online at www.theatrevictoria.org.
