  • In 2005, if we had 400+ Hispanic students out of 2,500 total students and in 2009, if we had 642 students out of 4,300 students, the percentage comes to around 16% with actually a slight decline in 2009. As a member of the PRB, you should also have known that the growth in enrollment came NOT BECAUSE of Hudson but because UH System "redistributed" UH Sugar Land activities. The BBA growth of 500+ students in SL contributed significantly plus other programs that were given to UHV. Stealing Paul to pay Tom does not make Tom a "growing" person.

How did you know such enrollment data which even UHV faculty and staff are not aware of? Look at the administrative team that Hudson created and their calibre. Look at the amount of travel money Hudson and his administrative team has been spending for defunct programs in China. Look at the 500+ students that were admitted in 2008 even when their files were not complete. Look at the lowering of standards for freshmen admission to show numbers in 2010. All of these happened under Hudson. That should tell us the "dark side" of the growth. Based on half-baked truth, please do not try to sell such stories. We are glad that Don Smith is back and hope we will have a new President with integrity and character who will institute a new administrative team comprising of people with integrity and character.
