One man was transported to Houston after a collision on Friday evening about a mile south of El Campo.
According to state troopers, Terrence Green, 67, of Port Lavaca, was travelling northbound on U.S. Highway 59 in a 2011 Nissan 360-X when the vehicle crossed over and pulled into the southbound lane. The Nissan was struck by a 2004 Ford Explorer, t-boning the vehicle.
Michael Green, 44, Terrence Green's son, was transported to Herman Medical Hospital in Houston with apparent head injuries, trooper Kelly Krieg said.
Cathy Ulmer, 55, of Victoria, the driver of the Ford, was uninjured. Krieg issued a citation to Terrence Green for failure to yield right of way from a yield intersection, the trooper said.
