I remember the blacks being segregated in both theaters facing de Leon Plaza and the Hispanic movies being shown only at the Victoria Theater down the block. And this was in the late 60s.
So many people call these "the good old days."
Great storyline - it brings back some memories. I was in grade school at this time, as such I didn't see many things that happened. I recall that segregation was prevailing at the time, but that was just the way things always were, so I didn't give it much thought. It wasn't until people started to raise our conscience did it become forward in my mind.
