Day trippin': Texas art, music and wine come together in Schulenburg festival

Headlining the live music showcase will be The John Evans Band, a rockabilly group, of Houston.

Whether it's Texas music, Texas art or Texas wine, there's bound to be something you like about Texas. But no matter what it is, chances are good you'll find it Saturday at the What I Like About Texas Fest.

The annual event is held in the historic district of downtown Schulenburg and features live music by Texas musicians, Texas food and wine, vendor booths of all varieties and Texas artists and authors sharing their works, according to the Schulenburg Chamber of Commerce website. There will also be silent auctions, Texas beer and wine tastings and horse-drawn wagon rides.

The festival will be from 5-10 p.m. Saturday with a wine trail from 6-8 p.m.
