Texas Department of Public Safety troopers didn't have to search hard for 251 pounds of marijuana found in plain view in the back seat of this Ford F-250 Wednesday night. Margarito Munoz, 45, of Roma, was arrested on suspicion of felony possession of marijuana. The drugs have a street value of $75,300.

Texas Department of Public Safety troopers seized 251 pounds of marijuana in a traffic stop on U.S. Highway 59 just north of the Port Lavaca exit at 10:07 p.m. Wednesday.

Troopers pulled over a 2001 Ford F-250 for improper use of a turn indicator and driving on the shoulder, DPS spokesman Trooper Gerald Bryant said.

The bundles of marijuana, which have a street value of $75,300, were in plain view in the back seat of the truck.

Margarito Munoz, 45, of Roma, was arrested on suspicion of felony possession of marijuana and was taken to the Victoria County Jail. Munoz was headed from Rio Grande City to Rosenberg, Bryant said.
