The Goliad County Sheriff's Office discovered a methamphetamine lab in an old motorhome on Farm-to-Market Road 622 about 12:40 p.m. on Jan. 5.

The owner of the motorhome had gone to his vacant rental property to do work on a water well when he noticed an odor resembling ammonia coming from the house, according to a news release from the sheriff's office.

The owner observed a large ice chest, hoses and unidentified chemicals inside.

The sheriff's office, Constable Mike Thompson and Texas Ranger Drew Pilkington responded to the scene and determined it to be a drug lab.

A Texas Department of Public Safety narcotics cleanup crew assisted.

One of the land owner's crew members became sick. He was transported to DeTar Hospital-Navarro as a precaution, according to the release.

No arrests have been made.
