• @scorpio what does not being Americans have to do with anything! We always remember our troops & i thank them everyday for risking their lives so we can have our freedom. The immigrants only come to our country so they can work for people like you that will pay them below minimum wage so they can provide food & shelter for their families in Mexico.

PRAYERS GO OUT TO OUR BORDER PATROL keeping them in Mexico is the best thing they can do for them people over here are just waiting to take advantage of immigrants!! Ugh!!
In gods eyes we r all the same....his children!

  • So many more horrible things are going on in present day. We need to focus on the present and future. We can not change the past. There are so many unsolved deaths that need to be solved. If our press would focus on that maybe these cases would be solved. WE KNOW THE GUY LEFT THOSE PEOPLE IN THAT TRUCK TO DIE! It's not contested. He is in prison. You may not agree with his punishment but he is off the streets. Focus on border patrol and shoring up our borders to prevent this from happening again. Stop wasting time and money on something that can not be changed! I am so tired of hearing about this whole subject. The press show's this year after year and these people were not even AMERICANS! What about memorializing our troops the men and women who die for our freedom or the men who died in the gulf explosion or even the local citizens that died in horrible accidents? Stop memorializing non American citizens and focus on American citizens! UGH!

  • Can someone explain why Williams is ineligible for capitol punishment?
    Maybe I missed it.

    according to the article:
"...the death penalty under a 1994 immigration law.
That law states if anyone transports, smuggles or harbors illegal immigrants in this country, and the act results in death, the convicted can face execution."

I take it there's more to that law than stated here.

$7.2 MILLION of our tax dollars!!! Just thrown out the window!!

  • I totally agree with Victoria Co. Sheriff T. Michael O'Conner - Williams should never see the light of day - he, and only he, had the option of freeing those people from their death in the truck and he did not - Williams knows that. Washington knows that his client did worse than the others - should have gotten life.
