  • Wow! Did everyone watch the videos? There are clearly two UHV students who almost walked up on three very desperate, armed criminals. Chief Ure states that there were even gunshots. That could have been really bad for everyone involved.

  • Recently I had to drive east of Laurent on San Antonio Street.
What met me were street walking prostitutes and street drug dealers
right out there on the street!
This is a very serious distraction into make Victoria appealing for
    tourism.
I call on DA Tyler to step up and police this vulgar activity.

  • Anyone else notice that Vicad prints police & court reports but we never see the outcome of any trials. Once in a while an article about the DA or courtroom shortage but nothing on what happens inside them.

  • I think the biggest issue of wrong information began when the tv station reported on the story early thurs morning and just about everything in the story was wrong...guess they did not feel a need to verify information before going on the air. It is one thing to be first with a story, but please get the information right before breaking the news.

  • Please remember, come election time, crime is reported that it is or does come down here in Victoria.

  • I'm just glad no one was hurt.... Crime is all over Vic. There is no safe haven . Crimes happen from the south to the north. Its not just central Victoria. This town does everything A** backwards. Always has.

  • As a result of both macro- and micro-economic impacts such as terrorism, globalization, high turnover among corrections officers, and a growing prison population, we need criminal justice and security professionals who demonstrate strong leadership and administrative skills in law enforcement, corrections, criminal courts and security, search online for "United Forensic College"

  • Imagine the story next time. Two armed robbers shot by unidentified victims protecting themselves and property. The end.

  • Could have happened anywhere, wonder if the story would have so much publicity if it happened just about anywhere else in the city..headline makes you think the trouble was at this dormitory when in fact it just happened in the area skirting the area.

  • The title for the article is extremely misleading. I wonder how many people are expecting to read a story about a robbery AT Jaguar Hall before actually reading the story?

Not really news if you ask me. Some robbers ran from some cops. They happened to run by the dorm. Big whoop.

  • They were never ready to begin with. Now they say they don't have enough room after they tore down the other part. Figures
