South Texas may get a rare glimpse of snow this week.
National Weather Service meteorologist Robert Hart said there's a 20 percent chance of snow Thursday night. Temperatures will start falling Tuesday with lows dipping into the 20s through Friday, warming up again Saturday and Sunday.
Rain and thunderstorms are expected Monday and Tuesday before the cold front moves in. The cold front will enter the Hill Country early Tuesday morning, reaching the middle Texas coast by noon.
Those participating in livestock shows should prepare for cold temperatures through the week, the weather service said.
