Industrial High School grad receives doctorate from UT

Jo Beth Jimerson received her doctorate in educational administration with a concentration in educational policy and planning from the University of Texas in Austin on May 21. Jimerson received her Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Texas State University in San Marcos and masters in education in school administration from Trinity University in San Antonio. She plans to continue her career in the fall semester as an assistant professor of educational leadership at Texas Christian University in Fort Worth.
Jimerson previously worked as a teacher and principal for Comal school district and as a legislative analyst for the Texas Association of School Boards. She is a graduate of Industrial High School in Vanderbilt. Jimerson is the daughter of Jerry and Julie Jimerson, of Victoria.
