Rattleme...You're right, of course. If they want to search, they'll find a way to get their probable cause, even if they have to detain someone till a dog can arrive. Do you suppose that there is ever a time that the cops come up empty after searching a car? Surely they can't bat 1.000. What happens to the citizen when the cop can't find anything? Most of time this isn't their first rodeo and they get complacent, and bam, they get snagged by a cop and the result is busted.

And they only had to pull over and harass 99 good citizens to catch the one scum bag (assuming this guy is actually a criminal and not just some hippie)
