It has always amazed me why some people have panic attacks and others don't. It is like any other physical illness; you either have it or you don't. Now how you deal with it is important. I had a friend that used to have panic attacks every time she drove her car alone. She would find it hard to breath and start to pass out so she quit driving. She went to her doctor and he told her these were panic attacks and they would pass. She said but what about when I am driving? He told her when she felt that way just pull over safely on the side of the road and sit there until you gain control and if you pass out you will start breathing again on your own. So she said she made herself do this because she was not ready to stop driving. This happened to her a few times and she realized she was ok and her fear of driving just went away. Of course I am sure other kind of panic attacks are not that easy to get over but what the heck, go for it, you might get past your panic attack faster than you think.
