A Victoria man will face charges of sexual assault of a child in a trial scheduled to begin on Tuesday.
Gerald Francis Graves Jr., 43, is charged with three counts of aggravated sexual assault of a child younger than 14 years of age, which is a first degree felony, between January 2002 and June 2004.
Graves was indicted on the charges in June 2010.
This is not Graves' first brush with the law.
He pleaded guilty in July 1990 for theft by check, and was convicted of felony indecency with a child in September 2000, for which he received deferred adjudication probation.
Graves is being represented by defense attorney Luis A. Martinez.
Victoria County Assistant District Attorney Johna Stallings is prosecuting the case.
The trial is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. in Judge Skipper Koetter's courtroom.
