An employee of a sub-contractor working on the construction of Caterpillar's facility on Lone Tree Road was injured and transported to a local hospital Wednesday afternoon, according to Jim Dugan, Caterpillar Inc.'s chief corporate spokesperson.
Victoria Police Department Senior Patrol Officer Sean Sheehan, who responded to the scene, said the man was alive and conscious at the time of transport.
Dugan said Caterpillar will work with the general contractor and sub-contractor involved to investigate the incident to understand what happened.
The name of the man is being withheld, according to Dugan, for privacy purposes.
