A Victoria man was sentenced to three life sentences after a jury found him guilty of aggravated sexual assault of a child on Thursday.
A jury found Gerald Francis Graves Jr., 43, guilty of three counts of aggravated sexual assault of a child younger than 14, which is a first degree felony, as well as two counts of indecency with a child.
He received three life sentences, which are to be served concurrently, for each of the three aggravated sexual assault counts.
Additionally, he received a life sentence for the first count of indecency with a child and 10 years for the second indecency count.
His sentences are stacked, meaning the sentences for the indecency counts will not begin until he completes the life sentences for the sexual assault counts.
Graves, who was indicted in June 2010, committed his crimes between January 2002 and June 2004.
This is Graves' second child-related conviction.
He received deferred adjudication probation after being convicted of felony indecency with a child in September 2000.
