ANDER - A Shreveport, La., man died when the semi-truck he was driving rolled over while he was navigating a curve on Farm-to-Market Road 1961 Tuesday afternoon.
Walter Graham, 72, died when the cab of his truck was crushed in the rollover near St. Peters Lutheran Church and the community of Ander.
He was pronounced dead at the scene by Goliad County Justice of the Peace Steve Kennedy.
A co-worker, Dale Warren, driving another truck behind Graham, found the truck on its side at 5:40 p.m. Warren was about 10 minutes behind Graham.
Warren said the cab was completely smashed.
Oscar Garcia, safety adviser for Precision-Grey Wolf Trucking, and Department of Public Safety troopers inspected the truck and found nothing wrong with the vehicle. They determined the accident was likely because of speed of the vehicle on the curve or health issues.
Graham worked for Precision-Grey Wolf Trucking. Graham's body was transported to Lockhart for an autopsy.
