Richard Lawrence Ramirez graduated summa cum laude from the University of Houston-Victoria on May 14 with a bachelor of science in computer science and a minor in biology. Ramirez plans to continue his studies at UT Austin pursuing a masters in computer science. He is a member of the Gamma Beta Phi and Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi. He is the son of Richard and Lalie Ramirez of Victoria and grandson of Elida C. Garcia of Beeville and the late Domingo y Garcia and the late Porfirio and Lucia Ramirez and the great grandson of the late Lorenzo and Josefa Cantu.
