Sure something could be done. People need to remove their heads from, well you know where, and pay attention. I have yet to meet someone at that intersection that actually knows how to perform a four-way stop. Most of the yahoos just cannot seem to comprehend what RIGHT-of-way means. As much as people want to blame cell phones for the collisions, I'd have to say pure ignorance is more likely the culprit. These people would not survive in bigger cities and I thank the good Lord above that I no longer have to deal with them on a daily basis.
That is a dangerous intersection that has had many wrecks. I saw someone run that stop sign the other day, and luckily, the driver on the other side was paying attention and did not pull out. School will soon be starting and there will be a lot more traffic at that intersection. Is there something that could be done to make that a safer intersection?
Suggest the cell phone records of these two drivers be checked and see if one or both were preoccupied at the time of the collision.
