Victoria Fire Department crew transport a 19-year-old man to Citizens Medical Center after he lost control of his motorcycle while traveling north on Navarro Street in front of Texas Seafood Restaurant on Saturday. He was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash and was the only person involved.

Jeffery Borders, 19, of Victoria, was transported Saturday to Citizens Medical Center after crashing on a motorcycle.

Borders lost control of his motorcycle in the 2200 block of North Navarro Street, resulting in the wreck at 5:09 p.m., said Victoria Police Department senior patrol officer Jason Martin. No other vehicles were involved.

Borders was walking at the crash scene before being transported to the hospital by ambulance, but he had visible abrasions. A spokeswoman at Citizens Medical Center said Borders was treated and released.

Citations have not been issued, but Martin said the wreck is under investigation.
