He was very lucky it was a very small hive. I got stung in 1995 by about 300-500 bees in the woods North of Inez while clearing brush. I made it to the hospital by my self and suffered no ill effects. I am not allergic to the venom. I was lucky too. To this day I am very leary about where I go in the country. You never know where killer bees are going to be. Be very careful about cutting grass of using loud machines around unknown areas. They attack like a wet blanket and get into any orfice they can. Your nose, eyes, ears, mouth and they will follow you for a long way to get you away from their nest. I mistakenly cut their nest in half with a dozer and paid the price. Please be careful for the young and the elderly too.
