I am glad he was offered the opportunity to de-plane when he wished. I hope that all air traverlers would show the same respect for all of these homecoming heros.
FYI, SPC Mascorro came on the plane last, chose to sit in the back when plenty of space was up front, was given the opportunity to get off first, but declined it. I think he was gearing up for the homecoming ... which seemed appropriate and wonderful.
Welcome home, soldier, and thank you for your courage and your service. May "This we'll defend" continue to be the noble call to our young men and women who will still make an unselfish sacrifice to defend our U.S.A. God bless America, and may God bless our military and enable them to keep our country safe.
Enjoy your time home. Thank you for your sacrifices and your service.
Thank you for your service to our nation.
Note: To travelers. During the 1st Iraq war I was flying a great deal. On several flights the Capt. would come on the PA and mention that there were American Heros on board and would we show respect to them by letting them leave the aircraft first because they had loved ones waiting and we would be rewarded by the sight of happy families when we got off. Might be a good time to renew that salute to our heros.
May the Good Lord Bless you and your family. Thank you for your service.
I mean shake your hand.
Welcome home hero, Thank you. If I see you on the street I would like to shake your hank.
Welcome home soldier. May God Bless you for your sacrifice and your service.
