  • No need to worry, the Titans got their props the day before. I was simply commenting on the West program.

  • I thought we had two high schools in town- both graduating wonderful Victorian students - or did I just miss the follow-up on East High??

  • If there was anything keeping you from being proud to a part of the Warrior nation, then it should have been wiped away last night. Professionalism ruled the graduation ceremony and watching the conduct of our students and their families was absolutely thrilling.

The speeches by Valedictorian, Salutatorian, and class President were better than excellent. Mrs. Crick did a fantastic job in leading the event.

A few of things to note. Speeches were short and packed with everything the families wanted to hear. There were no lengthy speeches from school board members. The Val, Sal, and Cum Laude kids were front and center upon entering the stadium. Awesome setting it up this way because the message is clear. Those kids worked hard and deserve at least a little bit of recognition.
Using the flag as a rallying point at the end of the ceremony was exciting to watch. Every once in a while you seem something good. All those kids rallying on their flag was good.

Too many to name but, Administrators, Teachers, School Board members and the entire staff at Victoria West and VISD, THANK YOU!

Wow!!! Congratulations Warriors of 2011, great job and great show last night.
