Logistics Specialist First Class Victor DuPre Marshall of Forestville, Md., retired from the Office of Naval Intelligence in Washington, D.C., on April 15 after 20 years of service in the Navy.
His career included assignments of Materials Handler and Optar records keeper aboard the USS Kalamazoo, quality assurance analyst at the National Naval Medical Center Bethesda and the Naval District Washington local area mobilization support coordinator within the office of Naval Intelligence.
He also served as the command defense property accountability system administrator under secretary of the Navy inventory coordinator. Marshall's medals include the Navy Commendation Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, Navy Meritorious Unit Commendation, Coast Guard Meritorious Unit Commendation, Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Medal, Southwest Asia Medal, Global War on Terrorism Medal, Armed Forces Service Medal and Sea Service Deployment Ribbon.
He is a 1984 graduate of Victoria High School and a 1989 graduate of Valencia Community College with an associate degree in arts. Marshall graduated from the University of District of Columbia in Washington, D.C., with a B.B.A. degree in accounting in 2003 and is pursuing a master's in accounting and financial management from the University of Maryland.
Marshall is the son of Victor and Hattie Marshall of Victoria and Grace Anderson of Atlanta, Ga.
Navy Seaman Kegan E. Kay, recently completed U.S. Navy basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill.
Kegan's mother and stepfather are Pamela J. and Raymond A. Malatek of Gonzales. She is a 2005 graduate of Gonzales High School.
Navy Seaman Recruit Christopher T. Barbour, recently completed U.S. Navy basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill.
Barbour is a 2010 graduate of Memorial High School of Victoria. He is the son of Christine T. Davis of Victoria.
Air Force Airman Eric T. Graves graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio.
He is the son of Joey T. and Michelle Graves of Victoria. Graves is a 2005 graduate of Memorial High School.
Army Spec. Carl C. Caughey has graduated from the Basic Field Artillery Cannon Crew member Advanced Individual Training course at Fort Sill, Lawton, Okla.
Caughey is the son of Karen Caughey of Victoria and Carl C. Caughey Jr., of Ganado.
Navy Seaman Recruit Clayton T. Garner recently completed U.S. Navy basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill.
Garner is the son of Debra A. Garner of Cuero and Robert S. Garner of Victoria. He is a 2008 graduate of Cuero High School.
