Two people were transported to Citizens Medical Center with non life-threatening injuries after a two-car wreck on East Juan Linn and South Navarro streets at 7:38 p.m.
Joyce Parker, 71, of Victoria, traveling west in a Honda Pilot on East Juan Linn Street collided with Juanita Garcia, 43, also of Victoria, traveling north in a black Explorer on South Navarro Street, according to Victoria Police Officer B. Allen.
"Nani, Nani, stop!" yelled Tyler Ragsdale, 22, a passenger in the Honda Pilot seeing the Explorer approach just moments before the collision. But it was too late.
The Explorer rolled over after the impact.
Garcia and her passenger Martha Barcenas, 29, of Victoria, were extricated from the Explorer and transported to Citizens Medical Center. Both women were being treated and expected to be released at 9:30 p.m., according to a hospital house supervisor.
Parker and her three grandchildren traveling with her were not seriously injured.
Who had the right of way is being determined, according Allen, so no citations will be issued, but the cause of the accident is under investigation.
