Theatre Victoria's executive director, Scott Mohon, is leaving his post - again.
Recently accepting a job in Queens, New York City, Mohon plans to depart the theater for a second time after reassuming the role in February.
"I knew it would only be a matter of time for him to find something bigger, or for something bigger to find him," said Omar Rachid, the theater's board president. "And that's exactly what happened. He was recruited by something bigger."
Rachid said Mohon's final day at the theater was Thursday, and he plans to move north in the next few days where he'll serve as executive director and artistic producing director for a Queens-based theater company.
Prior to Mohon's first departure in March 2010 - he stepped down to accept an executive director position at the Newport Performing Arts Center in Rhode Island.
Mohon worked at Theatre Victoria four years.
Rachid said the theater has posted the vacant position on two career websites.
"We want to fill it as soon as we're able to find a qualified candidate," Rachid said.
Attempts to reach Mohon were unsuccessful Thursday.
