Oh... Mr. Yantis could solicit businesses down Navarro to contribute to welcoming visitors to Victoria - contribute with money so that something is constructed at the various entrances into the town and decorate with trees, plants, etc. That would be nice to see as you enter this town with such a rich history. Also, signs which share that there is a shopping district down Navarro would help - get with it Victoria! You have the resources to help promote you and many of these would probably gladly help if they are sold on the future benefits!
I think what these people are doing is wonderful! Victoria should also try to beautify the entrances into the City. How about putting something visitors can see as they enter off Highway 59 - the welcome is not appealing. Surely, someone has the money to donate if the City does not have the money for this to get done. Actually, there is no sign of anything which welcomes visitors to Victoria. Had a cousin who had come to Victoria several times before she discovered that Navarro St. existed with eateries, shopping, etc.
