Shiner FFA Stock show is Friday with 59 animal projects

The Shiner FFA Stock Show will be Friday at the Green-Dickson Municipal Park.
Weigh in begins at 7 a.m.; judging begins at 9 a.m. with broilers, followed by swine, then sheep and ending with cattle.
"We have 59 projects, up from 45 last year," said Mike Raindl, show spokesman. The projects include 15 steers, 26 hogs, 12 lambs and six pens of broilers.
The auction begins at 7:30 p.m.
The Shiner Young Farmers Chapter will host a barbecue from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 4 to 6 p.m. Friday. Each meal includes half chicken with all the trimmings. Tickets are $7 each with plates to eat there or to go.
