  • "Texas is the state with the lowest uninsured yet we stand to gain the most from health reform," she said. "It's unfortunate that such an important issue has gotten caught in political slogans."".....Texas is not the state with the LOWEST # UNINSURED.... I thought we had the highest rate of uninsured people.

I'm also confused why she needs a hysterectomy if she hasn't been diagnosed with cancer? Why does she assume she will get cancer if she doesn't have one? That doesn't make a whole lot of sense.

Observer, many people that work in the healthcare field are without insurance, seems odd I know....many cannot afford the cost of insurance & many places do not even offer it.

  • A little more background on this story would have been helpful, Mr. Ortega. As it stands, I am unable to determine what decisions Jackie Phillips made in the past that resulted in her being without health insurance. Also, it boggles the mind to read of someone working in the health care field who is without health insurance, apparently by choice.

  • You guys should stop complaining because, one the health care we have now isnt as good as it was supposed to be. also the law has just been signed so give it some time. so if u want to say u have the right to choose tell that to ur congress men or state official. If you do not have insurance and need one You can find full medical coverage at the lowest price search online for "Wise Health Insurance" If you have health insurance and do not care about cost just be happy about it and trust me you are not going to loose anything!
