A Victoria man was sentenced to 45 years in prison for burglary on Thursday.
Christopher Gustav Traeger, 27, was found guilty of four counts of burglary of a habitation.
District Judge Robert Cheshire presided over the case.
Traeger was charged with burglarizing three Victoria homes with the intent of theft and breaking into an additional home with intent to assault with a deadly weapon.
He was indicted for the crimes in September.
The defendant previously served time in prison for aggravated robbery.
Assistant District Attorney Brian Hrach prosecuted the case.
"The streets of Victoria are safer with Mr. Traeger behind bars," said Victoria County District Attorney Steve Tyler.
