  • Common sense is such a rare commodity these days.
    1. Do not ever send in money to anyone based on an email.
    2. Don't ever pay money for rentals before signing a contract.
    3. DO you really think it is legit if they say they are sending the keys to you via a courier from overseas (I heard this in a different scam)?

  • Why wouldn't anybody be sure to actually speak with the realtor in charge if their property of interest in the first place? There are some things technology can't replace, and when it comes to making a huge purchase such as a roof over my family's head, trust is one of them. This just shows how gullible society has become by using good old fashioned common sense as a last option and convenience as a first. Poor Kathy... I know she is a trusted name in town. I'd say if you're busy play phone tag. At least you'll know you have the right realtor.
