Three-car wreck injures one person Monday

A wreck on North Navarro Street near Starbucks slowed down southbound traffic on Monday.

One person was injured in a three-vehicle wreck at about 10 a.m. Monday at the intersection of North Navarro Street and Zac Lentz Parkway.

The driver of a gray 2000 Ford Expedition traveling south in the inside lane of Navarro Street collided with a 1998 tan Mercury Tracer traveling in the same lane. The Mercury Tracer then collided with a black 2003 Chevrolet Suburban.

Victoria Police Sgt. Jason Turner said the Tracer and Suburban were slowing to a stop before the Expedition made contact with the first car.

A passenger in the Mercury was transported to DeTar Hospital Navarro with possible injuries.

Drivers names were unavailable Monday.
