• Sounds like an ill advised call by the official, but you can't blame the loss on it. It doesn't come down to that if you hit a few more shots, or a couple more free throws, or have a few less turnovers.
Did any calls all season go in your favor? Did you gripe about that? Likely no, you accepted the win and went on.
Stop looking for excuses. In every game, one team wins and the other loses. There's plenty of blame to go around, it's just easier to point at an official.

  • Thank you Advocate for writing this! Dante did not deserve to foul out.. he was fouled. That took points off us for his made shot and the following free throw. We had no idea where the technical came from when it happened. I have seen coaches on the game floor yelling with no intervention and then to see Coach Dozier get a technical for asking for a call. If you have never seen Coach Dozier, he is always calm and in control. It was ridiculous. These boys deserved so much better than that.

  • Too many times Officials like to be "Way to Involved" in the game. They sometimes even like to think they are "Superior/The Boss" to everyone and really some Umps, Refs and Officials need to stick with their Day Jobs.
However, there are A LOT of good ones out there, these are the ones you don't notice and don't determine the outcome of the game!
It is prob 50/50, good, fair and try to do a good job Officials, it is the other 50% that everyone hates and should be working at Walmart as their second job....
Last Note: A parent or coach that complains about the Officials in a game their son or daughter or player, needs to go to a game where you don't know anyone playing, especial your child, then the Officiating is pretty good overall.
