Historian to lecture about Presidio La Bahia

The Goliad County Historical Commission is hosting a lecture by Robert W. Shook, titled, "Presidio La Bahia: On the Move."
The author of several books will present the lecture in the Lady of Loreto Chapel at the fort.
Shook is a graduate of the University of North Texas and has taught in that university, as well as Air Force bases, Victoria College and the University of Houston-Victoria.
His articles have appeared in scholarly publications like Southwestern Historical Quarterly, New Handbook of Texas and Texas Bar Journal.
A reception with light refreshments will be served in the chapel courtyard at 6:30 p.m. Monday, before the lecture begins at 7 p.m.
Entry to the event will be through the water gate on the north side of the Presidio La Bahia.
