Winshield wipers form a cross on the hood of a wrecked Toyota Sequoia after it collided with a semi truck, Wednesday afternoon on U.S. Highway 59 N. No one was injured.

A Victoria man was left unscathed after a rollover wreck involving a semi on Wednesday.

The semi, which was not attached to a trailer, was heading north toward Telferner on U.S. Highway 59 on the outside lane, with a Toyota Sequoia following behind, said Victoria Police Officer Travis Hanson.

The semi, driven by Juan Martinez, 57, slowed down to turn right onto a private road when the Toyota, driven by Jamie Parker, 34, drove onto the shoulder to pass.

The semi turned into the Toyota, causing the Toyota to rollover into a ditch, Hanson said.

Parker was not injured, something he is thankful for because he wasn't wearing a seatbelt, he said.

"Thank God I'm alive," he said. "I saw every wall in the car flipping around."

No citations were issued, Hanson said.
