A 19-year-old man was injured in a Wednesday afternoon wreck on Navarro Street.
About 1:08 p.m., the man, whose name is not known at this time, was traveling south on Navarro Street near Bernie's Boats & Motors when witnesses said he crossed over the northbound lanes before hitting the palm tree in front of Carino's Italian Grill, said Victoria Police Officer Herschel Buck.
After hitting the tree, the car spun around and hit the pole holding the restaurant's sign.
The man was taken to Citizens Medical Center via ambulance.
The extent of his injuries was unknown, but Buck said he was conscious and breathing.
