A Victoria man who was severely beaten and dumped on the side of a farm road was in stable condition and on life support Thursday night, a hospital spokesperson said.
Mario Vasquez, 33, was left on the side of Farm-to-Market Road 239, about a mile west of U.S. Highway 77 on Sunday.
He was flown to Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio.
Refugio County Sheriff's Office is investigating the beating. They believe it is gang-related and that several people may have been involved, said Investigator Martin Diaz-DeLeon.
No other information about the investigation was available, Thursday.
