  • I drive slower to save gas because I hate paying for it! Get up earlier in the morning then you won't have to speed!

  • If Mr Elkins wants to drive that fast let him move to the states that allow it. I been hit by someone going 75 miles an hour and it like to have kill me, Did we really vote that dummie in office, I bet I don't vote for him if this passes are for anyone that agrees to that 75 people do not think when they are behind wheel they are texting and, reading, and talking on cell and I don't see anyone pulling them over lets lower the speed not raise it.
lets just make texting and cell phones all legal to use when driving at 75 mile an hour . Thing happen in a split second and you can't stop at 60 miles an hour along at 75. DUMB DUMB

  • Don't know if they exist anymore but some of the sparsley populated wesern staes used to have waht were know as R&P speed limits for some roads. It stood for Reasonable &Proper. You could drive as fast as you wanted to but were supposed to exercise good judgement. From waht I heard, you were really at the mercy of the local authorities as to waht was R&P.
As a side note,MPG goes down the faster you drive. So don't complain about high gas prices if you want to drive 70-80.
